Migraines can be caused by any number of triggers, and by staying away from the most common triggers, you can help prevent them, at least to some extent. Not everyone’s migraines are caused by the same triggers, so it may take some time to determine exactly what you need to stay away from, but in this article, you will learn about some of the more common migraine triggers. </p>
<p>One of the number one causes of migraines is caffeine consumption. Caffeine can be found in soft drinks, tea, coffee, and many over the counter products, so it is important to learn to read labels, if you think this may be part of your problem. If you suddenly cut out all caffeine from your diet, you may suffer withdrawal headaches, so a gradual elimination is the best course of action.</p>
<p>Artificial sweeteners, particularly those containing Aspartame, have long been linked to migraines, among other problems. Of course, the sweetener manufacturers swear that isn’t the case at all. Learn to read labels, and steer clear of any products containing artificial sweeteners, just to be on the safe side, especially diet colas. </p>
<p>Smoking has also been known to cause migraines, and if you are trying to determine your triggers, it may be a good idea to give up the cigarettes for a while, just to see if it makes a difference. During this time, you will need to stay away from second hand smoke as well, to get an accurate result. </p>
<p>Try to go to bed at the same time every night, and get up at the same time everyday, even if you are on vacation. For some people, just this minor lifestyle adjustment has gotten rid of their migraines completely, so it might be worth a try. </p>
<p>If you are currently taking birth control pills, you might want to talk with your doctor about switching brands, or trying another form of birth control. Due to the havoc that oral contraceptives wreak on your hormones, they could very well be the source of your migraines, at least in part.</p>
<p>Working at the computer has become a common lifestyle, which can cause those prone to migraines to suffer an attack. Don’t stare at your computer monitor for long periods of time, particularly in a room with bright lighting, as this is not only hard on your eyes, but can lead to severe migraines as well. Take frequent breaks, and install a filter on your monitor, to help tone down some of that brightness. </p>
<p>Perfumes, while they do smell good, can often trigger migraines, so it may be a good idea to go perfume free for a few days. You will then be able to see if it makes any difference in the frequency and severity of your migraines. You may have to be satisfied with using a scented body wash or lotion, rather than perfume, if that is found to be the culprit behind your migraines.</p>
<p>There are lots of other migraine triggers, some of which can be unique to you. As this is the case, it can take some time to find out which specific triggers are causing you problems. Keep a migraine journal, to help you identify triggers, and hopefully, stay away from them in the future!</p>

Summer is enjoyable and enables people to be soaked under the sun and roam around. Another great stuff about it is the fact that there are no schools and school stuffs to worry about. Travelling is in the air and janging out is too much fun to ignore. Only one thing is though, don&#8217;t let the enticing season affect your health. Stay on guard and stay healthy.</p>
<p>So are you guys planning to tour the world or something? have just some tips for you. When traveling this summer, don&#8217;t forget to plan ahead for possible medical emergencies and for everyday health needs. That means making sure to have an adequate supply of required medicines and seeing that they are properly stored.</p>

<p>So what are the side effects of losing weight really fast? Well, you may be surprised to find that there are several. One of the ways that rapid weight is achieved is by simply not eating. This is a very bad way to go about weight loss. During starvation diets, the body will actually break down the muscle tissue in the body to fuel itself. The body loses fat and muscle tissue, which can wreak all kinds of havoc within the body. The body is made to burn the calories in the food it eats; therefore it must have food to survive.</p>
<p>One of the more pronounced side effects of rapid weight loss is the feeling of prolonged hunger. These feelings can cause other symptoms such as irritability, anxiety and depression. As if this isn’t bad enough, the sex drive can be significantly reduced, or completely gone altogether. Chronic fatigue, seizures and fainting can also occur. Then there is of course the obvious malnutrition which, if severe enough, can cause death.</p>
<p>As you can see, the only real choice on non-surgical weight loss is to go about it in a sensible manner. No amount of weight loss pills or starvation can give you the benefits of changing to healthy eating habits and engaging in regular exercise. Be smart and see your physician before beginning any weight loss plan. He can give you literature and helpful advice while making sure that your body is ready for a healthy weight loss plan.</p>

You may follow a diet plan created by someone else who had great success in losing unwanted pounds, but you may not get the same results.</p>
<p>There are several factors which determine our weight. Obesity can be caused by more than just over eating, although the foods we eat, as well as the quantity of food we consume, does play a significant role in determining our weight. Other factors can include genetics, lifestyle and certain medical disorders. It’s even possible for an individual to have more than one of these factors working against them, so the battle to reduce weight becomes an ever more difficult task.</p>

Tofu makes an excellent meat substitute, and can reduce the amount of fat in your dish. A quick search online can give you several ways to make your favorite foods healthier. Don’t be afraid to try new, healthier foods.</p>
<p>The next phase of creating your ultimate diet plan is to increase your physical activity.<br />
Yes, that is another way of saying you must exercise. Depending upon your current health condition, you may not be able to do certain exercises, and this is one area where individualized weight loss plans really give you plenty of choices. If you can join a local gym, that would be great. If you can’t join the gym, then grab a few of your favorite music DVD’s and create your own workout. A few light weights would be nice, but are not mandatory. Every exercise routine should begin with a warm up, and a good round of stretches works like a charm. Be realistic with yourself, and start off slowly, then work yourself up in duration and intensity.</p>
<p>One key area most people forget about when losing weight is motivation. We all need a word of encouragement every once in a while, and sometimes that one word can make all the difference. If you do not have anyone locally you can partner up with as a weight loss partner, you can join online forums and find plenty of support. You will end up sticking much closer to your plan, and can come away with lots of extra hints and tips which may make all the difference in your success.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A recent research by United Nations reveals that developing countries have managed to provide “life prolonging drug treatments” to AIDS (Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome) patients. As far as the improvement is concerned it is a good achievement on the part of World Health Organization, but the disappointing news is that the virus has recently infected around 2.5 million people thereby increasing the number of AIDS patients.</p>
<p>Despite the outstanding efforts by the UN researchers, there is lot more that needs to be done. UN in his recent report highlighted the notable achievements in combating the dreadful AIDS epidemic. The report also showcased the future plan of action.</p>
<p>The two agencies of United Nations, the World Health Organization and UNaids had initially fixed year 2005 as a deadline for providing AIDS treatments to around 3million people in the developing countries. But it has not yet been achieved and the main reason is because every year the number of patients is doubled. In the year 2007, the number of patients who were getting the Antiretroviral therapy increased by 54%. But even that is not enough as it is far below the set target.</p>
<p>Ignorance about the disease is one of the major factors behind the slow rate of treatment. In the poor countries millions of people are still struggling to get access to the “life prolonging drugs”. The demand of the Antiretroviral treatment(ATV) is increasing at a much faster rate but the researchers area not able to meet this fast growing demand and therefore the progress rate is really slow. The reports suggest that there is a great need to make these treatments available to more pregnant women to save the child from getting infected.</p>
<p>Dr. Kevin de Cock who is the director of HIV/ AIDS program at the World Health Organization highlighted the perpetual weakness and incapability of the health system to provide proper treatment to the patients. He further added that new cases are mostly concentrated around the economically weak African countries.</p>
<p>The health systems are badly suffering from a lack of infrastructure, skilled workers, Availability of drugs, and lab facility. The lack of these general facilities is the root cause of the slow progress rate. According to the researchers the only way to combat this situation is to prevent this deadly epidemic from attacking the unaffected.<br />
The progress cannot be denied, but a faster rate is what is needed.</p>

A new research on portion control proves that wrong.<a name="more-385"></a> A recent study conducted by the <em>American<em><span style="font-family: "> Journal of Clinical Nutrition</span></em></em> brought forth the fact that by shrinking the portions by 25% there is a loss of 250 calories per day in the women. Women who took up the experiment lost weight by half a pound every week. An interesting fact, found at the research was that the women still felt full after their meals. If you are ready for the challenge, you can get started with a few simple changes in your lifestyle.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText">Mostly people tend to overeat the food of their liking such as meats, breads, sweets, pastas and snacks. It may be the taste of the food, gorging while watching television or simply an old childhood habit that leads to overeating. What one can do is to strictly stick to the serving sizes recommended by your favorite food. For instance, you can reduce the amount of butter you apply to your bread to the size of a postage stamp and make your potato serving occupy as much space as occupied by the mouse of a computer.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText">If these quantities sound frustrating, you can choose to start slowly. When eating pasta or rice, leave out a few spoonfuls. While eating a sandwich just eat half of it rather than the whole thing. These minor changes will help you to cut calories while you enjoy eating almost anything you like, even chocolate cookies!</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText">If you are exposed to quantity of food that is larger that what you eat, you tend to eat more the trick is to see less in order to eat less. Keep away the rest of the food immediately after serving which will help you skip second helpings. Also, you can try eating your dinner on a small plate if you want to eat less. You can use a salad plate for this purpose. Creating after-meal rituals can also help. You can either chew a sugarless gum or sip hot drinks like tea or coffee. This will fight the impulse to take a second helping or desserts.</p>
<p class="MsoBodyText">Finally if you cannot stop over eating consider the chances of it being a psychological problem for which you can seek medical help.</p>
